Description

Shell with 2 main parts : egg-shaped chamb er closed at the aboral end and armed with a hollow spine , and a long , more or less curved , trumpet- like peristome . Inner cavity of 2 parts separated by a diaphragm and communicating only through a narrow tube entering the peristomal cavity (Fig . 11).
