Description

Test free, relatively small (a few millimeters long) , of fragile, brittle consistency, and consisting of tubular or inflated chambers , sometimes with short side branches. Chambers sometimes arranged in series although isolated chambers often occur through fragmentation. Apertures located at ends of tubular or approximately conical processes . Interior occupied by anastomosing stercomare strings and branching granellare strands. Wall CLASS XENOPHYOPHOR thin , composed mainly of mineral grains . Occurrence: widely distributed in deepwater. consisting of several inflated , often approximately spherical chambers, joined by short stolons . Apertures located at ends of short tubular processes .
