Description

Centroheliozoa covered with a mucous coat incorporating tangential organic spicules. Monotypic, freshwater , often forms colonies of 6-12 specimens connected by cytoplasmic bridges. The taxonomy has been reviewed by Mikrjukov (1996a) . 2. Chlamydaster sterni (after Rainer , 1968).
