Description

Anterior portion of body larger than posterior portion ; 2 components of the girdle , the pre- equatorial belt and equatorial belt , seemingly composed of dikinetids, but are really polykinetids with kinetosomes arranged in zig-zag fashion ; moves with posterior end forward ; cytoplasm with permanent cryptomonad symbiont (Fig. 1).
