(Fig . 9) Vahlkampfiid with cysts, amoeba, and flagellate stage. Flagellate measures 16-22 1-Jm . According to the original description normally with 3 flagella inserting in a deep depression , but no mouth- although the flagellated form has been reported as dividing . Cyst with pores . The nature of the taxon is unclear but probably related to the vahlkampfiids (Page , 1988). n stag e. (B) Flagellated stage . Bar=10 iJm.
